Laura was amazing with our History Chicks tour of New England. It was the perfect pace–we walked but not too much, we were on the bus but not overly so. We had more than enough time to actually enjoy the places we went to. We also had free time. We had a couple of early mornings but only when traveling between Boston and New Port. Everything from my point of view went very smoothly. Great communication all around about meeting times, etc. It was so, so enjoyable and I highly recommend. -Meghan Carlisle

I’ve gone on two tours with Like Minds Travel and what a joy they were! Each day was planned to be a special treat based around the group’s shared interests, and even when things went awry (transit strike? What?!) Laura and her team seemed to magically produce solutions without anyone on the tour having to worry about a thing. I had an amazing time on our trip; from the hotel, daily activities, and the logistics of getting around Paris. Like Minds Travel had every detail worked out so that I could be present and enjoy the day’s planned activities. I especially loved the planned picnic at Versailles. Laura did a wonderful job of planning and juggling the many events, complete with transportation (especially in the midst of a rail strike)! THANK YOU does not aptly express all we feel for Laura Hart and Like Minds Travel! We traveled to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, with all arrangements being made by Laura. I will never make my own arrangements again! Flights, hotel, tickets and transportation were all arranged, including an itinerary with explicit instructions. Unsure of what excursions to enjoy, Laura helped us select Xcaret. We have memories of a lifetime!We had one minor hiccup when checking in at the hotel and Laura had it taken care of the same day! Laura did an amazing job keeping a tour that was delayed repeatedly, thanks to COVID restrictions, going! The History Chicks Field Trip to London was everything I had expected and then some. I got to see the wonderful sights in London and meet some amazing like-minded women travelers, which made this trip even more memorable. And to visit Highclere Castle with no other tourist and an hour alone with the Crown Jewels at the Tower of London could not have been a better surprise. I had a wonderful experience on our History Chicks Field Trip to London. The telling thing is that from my end it was smooth and seamless, despite what I know was almost catastrophic glitches (the worldwide pandemic that will not end, ever changing travel rules, transit strikes, just to name a few). Laura managed to get the adventure to come together and provide a wide range of activities that provided a comprehensive taste of London. I love the concept of “like-minded” travel so much. There’s not really anyone in my life who I can talk fashion history with, and certainly no one who wants to nerd out on sewing techniques with me. But in the group of like-minded travelers on the fashion history Paris trip, I not only found that community and made new friends, I also got to take a week-long trip with people who also spend extra time at museums staring at the same details as me, who enjoy learning about how the history of a country impacts it’s fashion trends, and who can talk 18th century corsetry over chocolate croissants – details most of my friends would find boring or silly. I can’t recommend Like Minds Travel and Laura enough. I’m very much looking forward to traveling with this company again!!!! I honestly am not sure I can express how amazing Laura (Like Minds Travel) is. There was a large group of us, 55 to be exact. Despite this trip being planned at least 5 times, and changed due to Covid, Laura pulled it all off without a hitch. Our days were well organized, any hiccups were managed well, and Laura was definitely our fearless leader! Even when people got sick, or were running late, Laura somehow managed to take care of all of us for our 8 days in London England. The activities were fantastic and exactly what we wanted, being a history based group. They were for the perfect amount of time, and the balance between organized activities and our own activities/down time was wonderful. Laura was always available for questions, like when I got lost and couldn’t find my way to our meeting spot. She was on top of last minute changes, which she had no control over such as the London Tube workers being on strike, and figuring out other ways for us to get to our tours on time. -Ash Chatten

I loved the Dressed Fashion History tour of Paris in 2021! It was so nicely arranged – and given the limitations of COVID that we had at the time, Laura was able to arrange a number of work-arounds, so we got to visit Versailles, see the major museums, get a backstage view of hidden gems like the YSL museum, and eat at a variety of fabulous restaurants. She even arranged a lovely picnic at Versailles that was hands-down the best meal I’ve ever eaten. Laura was friendly, knowledgeable, available for questions, and flexible in her planning. I thought it was a fantastic way to see Paris, and I can’t wait to take another tour with Like Minds Travel! I recommend her company shamelessly to every podcast I listen to now :). I went on the History Chicks trip to London, and it was one of the best trips I’ve ever taken. I usually travel alone, and I was a little nervous about who would be on the trip, if I would be rushed, and if I would be able to see places that were not on the tour. Because the group had similar interests, we got along delightfully from beginning to end. The schedule was a perfect balance of group activities and free time. I got to see everything on my can’t miss list and then some. Laura also organized some special perks for us, like early admittance to see the crown jewels at the Tower of London and high tea with an expert at Fortnum & Mason. I could have never done that on my own. The communication and information throughout the process was timely and thorough, and Laura was always within reach. If you have a podcast group, or a different group with similar interests, Laura will plan an amazing experience for you, anywhere in the world. I would give Laura Hart and Like Minds Travel 10 stars if I could. Laura coordinated a tour to London with the History Chicks Podcast. This was originally scheduled in June of 2022. Due to covid, all of the events in the tour had to be scheduled and rescheduled five times! Laura hung in there and we were finally able to go in June 2022. This was my first group tour and it far exceeded any expectations I had. Laura successfully herded 55 of us to 15-20 events in the midst of a transportation strike in London. We did many things I’ll never have the opportunity to do again – a private showing of the Crown Jewels, tea and biscuits and a private tour at Highclere Castle, we had the Jane Austen house all to ourselves, a sunset dinner cruise on the Thames, a tea at Fortnum & Mason and dinner at a pub that was frequented by William Shakespeare just to name a few of the things we did. Laura even scheduled private busses for us as she was concerned about public transportation during the strike. Oh and Laura’s husband worked just as hard as she did! -Lori Bloom

Laura Hart planned and delivered an amazing History Chicks Tour of London. It’s a challenging time to travel, especially with a large group, and she handled it with grace and humor. The itinerary was exciting and Laura handled all of the logistics smoothly. She even managed to get 55 folks around the city during a railway and Tube strike! I went on the History Chicks field trip to London planned by Like Minds Travel. It was an amazing experience. Laura kept in communication with us before and during the trip exactly the right amount, even sending us helpful information like how to use our Tube passes. She navigated 2 years of COVID delays, travel issues, and a rail strike with aplomb and kept her cool. I’m sure it was stressful for her, but she made sure everything felt smooth for the travelers (and there were 50 of us!). Plus she’s very nice, and fun to talk with. The booklet Laura made and gave to us at the start of the trip was great and I used it so much it’s all creased up! I would absolutely travel with Laura and Like Minds Travel again. -Danielle Koenig
