The stars have aligned for an immersive Astrology Retreat with celebrity astrologer, author, and host — Aliza Kelly! Aliza’s latest in person retreat takes place in Castroville, Texas, just 30-minutes west of San Antonio (and 2-hours from Austin). Yes, everything is bigger in Texas… including the TANC moments!

Our home base is Hillside Boutique Hotel — a stunning boutique property on 13-acres overlooking the Medina River Valley. We’ve reserved the entire hotel to host the retreat, providing Aliza’s guests with an intimate, exclusive experience. Connect with your fellow stargazers at the property’s locally-fueled bars and restaurants, cool down in the pool, relax at the spa, cozy up at the fire pit, and sprawl out under the stars at our sequestered oasis. During this retreat, we’ll spend time in nature, experience San Antonio’s famed river walk, and dine al fresco on Hillside’s carefully crafted culinary cuisine, all while making life-long friendships and enhancing our knowledge of astrology and mysticism through Aliza’s hands-on teaching.

In addition to learning Aliza’s method of applied astrology, Aliza will teach each participant how to cultivate a manifestation practice rooted in their unique mystical identity. Astrology and tarot workshops will go beyond the stars and cards, exploring mythology, iconography, spiritual traditions, spell-work, and magick, enabling participants to use their birth charts as jumping off points for mysticism. We will continue building our knowledge throughout the retreat, honing tools in both the physical and spiritual realms, raising our collective magick through a powerful in-person Coven Meeting. Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or just beginning your mystical journey, this retreat is guaranteed to expand, awaken, and inspire.

Day One: Howdy and welcome to Texas! Check in to the stunning Hillside Boutique Hotel and connect with the community in quiet tranquility. Settle into your room and enjoy the resort before meeting Aliza at a delicious dinner, where Aliza will introduce the weekend’s astrological programming, explore individual and group astrology, and invite the group to participate in a welcome ritual. We’ll conclude the evening with a sip & paint led by a local artist, enabling us to get our creative juices flowing and warmed up for a mystical weekend!

Day Two: Good morning, stargazers! Rise and shine to enjoy breakfast. Hillside’s kitchen boasts modern comfort food with locally sourced seasonal ingredients — you’re going to love the cuisine! The resort is also equipped to accommodate any dietary requests, so there will surely be something for everyone. 

After breakfast, we’ll gather for a sound bath and guided meditation led by Aliza and her husband, Luke. Directly following this experience, we’ll transition into our first formal workshop. In the privacy of the Lunar Lodge, we’ll discuss our individual relationships with the signs, planets, and houses, sharing stories that bring each astrology principle to life …and open to magickal portals.

After lunch, guests can take some time to luxuriate at the resort; schedule a well-deserved massage or connect with your fellow retreat guests in the poolside cabana. Then, we’ll reconvene for a night on the town! Let loose on a river cruise in downtown San Antonio. We’ve chartered private barges for happy hour before we gather at a local restaurant for a delicious dinner. Witches in the wild!

Day Three: Our day begins with an invigorating sound bath and meditation on the lawn, followed by a delicious breakfast with our wonderful community. From there, we journey to the Natural Bridge Caverns for a physical manifestation of the beloved astrological axiom “as above, so below.” We descend into the cave for a private tour of the 20-million year old rock formations. There, we’ll have the opportunity to explore different expressions of mysticism, mindfully connecting to the geo-world to enhance our spiritual practices. 

Upon return to the surface, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch in our own private pavilion and enjoy another in-depth astrology and magick workshop. Aliza will teach new practical, symbolic, and creative interpretations, offering new perspectives on magick. 

We return to Hillside for some much deserved rest and relaxation. After sipping delicious libations with a wine and cheese happy hour, we’ll begin preparing for the main event: an in-person Coven Meeting and Mystical Showcase. After preparing our tools and supplies for the evening (candles, oils, incense, etc.), we’ll enjoy a final dinner and celebratory toast at the restaurant. Then, changing into our witchy best, we’ll prepare for the Coven Meeting and Mystical Showcase, where we will share our unique gifts and practice magick together as a community, amplifying our manifestations across all dimensions.

Day Four: After an extraordinary experience, it’s time to say goodbye. Enjoy one more delicious breakfast before checking out of the hotel. Astrology reminds us that we are the masters of our own destinies. And now — illuminated and transformed — we can infuse the magick of the retreat into our realities. Although this journey has come to a close, our new relationships, with the stars and each other, is just beginning.
